Fish Pictures

Like Father, like Son. Fishing has always been an important part of life, for the KingFishers Perch Family.
Randy Hughes (Father) above / Joshua Hughes (Son) below

Here's a beautiful, bright hen King Salmon wrestled out of the Gulkana River by a very pleased client.

You think that it's easy to hold one of these beasts up while your buddy snaps pictures? Wait till you try it. Another Gulkana King destined for the grill.

A great day to be after the King!
She caught it all by her self, but needed help holding it up!

Right at the mouth of the Copper and the Gulkana, this client pulled out one Red Salmon after another. Notice how the head and back are turning emerald in color (of the fish, not the client.) There's nothing like catching Red Salmon on a fly

Quite a burly KING!  At KingFishers Perch, You will use some of the best equipment, and top Quality Gear!  It's a good thing, because these big boys fight HARD!"

Ken Hughes in the flesh, this is our Senior Guide, the one who spawned them all!  He is holding up just another good eating King pulled out of the Gulkana River in late June.

Betty Steiger and her son Chris show off this 30lb Gulkana King. This was Bettys first KING SALMON EXPERIENCE.

Getting to the river first makes all the difference. This big King Salmon took the lure on Jayson's fourth cast. It's always nice to be taking pictures in that perfect morning light, knowing that no matter what else happens, you landed a King today.

This is the wild Klutina River. Great fishing and an exciting raft trip to boot. It takes some serious planning to land a King in the Klutina. It makes for some of the most exciting fishing our area has to offer.

"It is so AWESOME to catch King Salmon, that once you have landed your big one, sometimes you just have to HUG it.  This Gulkana King was hooked from the boat, and Katie had the time of her life pulling it in"

Here's a mean looking buck.  Its a great day to be on the Klutina!

These three grand-slammed: three huge kings from 45 to 65 pounds.

When the Reds hit the Gulkana, we catch one fish after another. This little guy takes his first Red.

His and hers King Salmon. Mr. and Mrs. Troy Dolge knock them dead on the Klutina. She has a nice hen and Troy's holding a monster King.

Brook and Beck show off a beautiful King that they landed together on the Gulkana.

We pick up the occasional Grayling on the Klutina when they get ambitious and go after a King rig.

Ken Hughes is our Senior Guide (and grandpa to most of us) for Kingfisher's Perch. Sockeye Salmon tremble at the sound of his name.

Allen Frisbie shows off two very decent hens pulled from the Gulkana.

Jared Orvis absolutely slayed them on the Klutina River during this trip. He landed an average of ten Kings per day for four days, including this beauty.

This King was a superstar!  If there would have been a derby that year this fish would have been in the running for BIG money.
