 Our daily white water rafting
trips are on the Klutina
River. The Klutina River is the 4th
fastest river in North America. It is
Glacier fed, and flows 14 - 19 miles per
hour. The river offers class III and IV
white water. The Klutina white water is different
than any other white water out there. It
is not like white water trips where you float
slowly along until a small section of water
picks up for a short time. The Klutina is
a Raging Beast, fun and intense the whole
time! Our
Guides
at KingFisher's Perch have spent years of
Training on this powerful river. Raft
control in this swift water current is all
second nature to us. |

 The
Gulkana River
is a beautiful scenic river. Our 5 to 10
day rafting trips on the upper Gulkana offer
some thrills of white water. There is a
short section of white water, that will come in
mid trip. The Gulkana River canyon is
class IV, and guests that take this trip will
have the option to portage around, or ride
through. The upper section of the Gulkana
River is classified by the State of Alaska as a
Wild and Scenic River! Many animals are
often seen while floating quietly along. This is truly a grand Alaskan
trip! |

 The
Copper River is the Mother of all the rivers in
our area. It is quite large and
amazing. The Copper offers sections of
white water throughout the whole river. We
are able to go through these sections, or around
because of the size of the river. On lower
section of the Copper you will pass by Glaciers
calving off into the river, through huge canyons
and water that in some places is 2 miles
wide. This river now has the trip that
KingFisher's Perch has taken to calling the
"Trip of a
Lifetime!"
